Record Attendance for Opti‐Port’s 2015 SPARK Conference at Vision Expo East
(ST.LOUIS, Mo., March 27, 2015) – Owners, managers, and entrepreneurs representing 25 of the largest multi‐office regional ECP’s gathered in record numbers this year to learn, share best practices, and to develop strategic plans for dealing with a wide array of industry opportunities and challenges.
“This year over two‐thirds of our members participated” said Jim Edwards, president and CEO of Opti‐ Port. “We pack a lot of content, discussion, and interaction into the day. Typically our spring meeting focuses on marketing, merchandising, and patient engagement, and this year was no exception. But timely issues, like concerns about ICD‐10 changeover, were also addressed.”
The keynote address, Youtility, presented by communications strategist and former Google executive Daniel Lemin, challenged attendees to market eyecare “through help, not hype.” Breakout sessions led by Opti‐port members covered topics ranging from frame‐board display and pricing strategy to community outreach programs proven to drive new patients to the practice.
Following the SPARK Conference, Opti‐Port members, guests and supplier partners gathered at the New York City headquarters of one of the largest global marketing agencies for an evening of fun and networking.
Founded in 2001, Opti‐Port is a national alliance of leading eye care providers that leverages the combined strength of its members to provide them with revenue growth strategies as well as cost‐ saving and market‐expanding opportunities.
